Presentation tools in libraries Carwell
As a librarian it is important to remain up to date with new and varying technologies in order to be able to better educate communities and increase interaction with our libraries. One of the ways librarians do this through the use of a multitude of presentation tools which can be used to create posters, presentations, and videos for others to use. The goal of presentations tools should be to strive for active engagement from our audience, the ability to captivate their attention, and the promotion of curiosity so that they will seek to learn on more about the subjects in your presentations on their own. Some examples of presentation tools that can be used to make captivating displays are Prezi, Microsoft Presentation, and Canva. Canva in particular is a presentation tool that I used multiple times during this semester as it helped me create interesting brochures and explore possible types of presentations. The creation of brochures felt relatively easy using Canva and I feel as though it works incredibly well as a presentation tool for making informative and captivating presentations.
